Supply chain needs buffering


Supply chain management is not up to the mark in India, and the two major reasons responsible for that are inadequate infrastructure and inefficient government bureaucracy, according to Peter Morgan, chief economist, Asia Pacific, HSBC.

The success of the Indian growth story has resulted in a spurt of activity, and this merits the necessity for a state-of-the-art supply chain in the country, he said, while delivering the opening address for the HSBC Business Leadership in Action Series on Supply Chain Management.
