To help managers clearly articulate the mission and purpose of their supply chain, Ohio State University Professor Doug Lambert takes them to the starting point: the customer.

Lambert kicks off the Supply Chain Management Program, a seminar co-sponsored by Ohio State University and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, by having participants think about customer relationship management and customer service management. From there, the program moves on to consider demand management, order fulfillment, supplier relationship management, and manufacturing flow management.
